What seemed like a throwaway gag was actually the first hint in one of Dragon Age's biggest mysteries - why is Sandal so powerful? Not only does he pull off the same trick in the second game, he also has a small chance of spoiling the plot of Inquisition for you if you chat to him enough. However, at the very end of the game you actually bump into him, miraculously having survived swarms of Darkspawn right near the final boss, ready to sell you any last-minute supplies. For most of the adventure he just hangs around the tents, ready to lend a hand. This unassuming dwarf joins your camp in Dragon Age: Origins, enchanting your weapons alongside his merchant dad.
